How PassportUSA and Partners work to solve the global nursing shortage
Finding career success in America is not a solitary adventure. As a force for ethical recruitment, PassportUSA is passionate about helping to make the dreams of aspiring nurses a reality. Our agency is proudly involved with several global nursing initiatives that seek to address and alleviate the healthcare worker shortage across the world.
The DAISY Foundation, which stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System, exists to promote the profession and celebrate the selfless work that nurses perform every day in every community around the world.
As the first and only International Advocate for The DAISY Foundation, Health Carousel (the parent organization of PassportUSA) is committed to being a champion for healthcare professionals — especially in developing countries — who go above and beyond in their work.
With the United States positioned as the global leader in nursing practice and knowledge, the overarching goal of the newly formed U.S. Educator Abroad initiative is to share this expertise with nurses in the key countries from which we recruit, beginning in the Philippines, so they may provide even better care to their patients.
Through in-person and online training, PassportUSA seeks to advance the skills of nurses around the world. The ultimate goal for our company is to become a net generator of nurses. We want to first achieve “nursing supply neutrality” and then develop a greater number of global nursing resources than we migrate to America.
