What drew you to Health Carousel?"I have been following Health Carousel's page on social media, and I've seen a lot of RNs like me who made their dreams into reality, and I said to my self , 'Hey, I want to be a part of this agency.' Also, I heard a lot of good things about Health Carousel -- about how professional they are and how they treat their RNs, which made me feel excited and interested. It has felt like family to be a part of this agency from day one until now! They simply made everything possible."What do you like to do outside of work?"I love to go out with friends when I am not working. I like going to other nearby states, discovering new places, trying out unfamiliar food, and taking long drives. I often meet with other Health Carousel nurses from the Philippines here in Georgia, and we travel together or just have a little barbecue party in the park. It doesn't matter what we do as long as we enjoy each other's company."What is your favorite part about being an RN?"What I love most about being a nurse is that no matter how tired I am at the end of the day, before I leave the hospital and say good bye to my patients, they always say, 'Thank you for taking care of me.' That means a lot to me -- it means that they appreciate my work. I feel accomplished. Or they say, 'Are you coming back tomorrow?' That means that they are satisfied with my work and want to see me the next day.I love this job because I get the chance to meet different kinds of people everyday. It is always a busy day, but hearing my patients' stories is always interesting, especially when you have created a rapport and you break the walls, and they voluntarily share their emotions. So in a day, I can see/feel sadness, happiness, disgust, excitement, anger or frustrations, and a lot more. It is both challenging and exciting to deal with these things everyday."
