August 2018 Nurse Employee of the Month - Jessa Irish

Jessa Irish is one of our wonderful RNs currently assigned in North Carolina. She is from the Philippines and has been in the healthcare field for 8 years and with PassportUSA for 2�years! Jessa Irish was nominated for RN of the Month by her nurse manager: "Jessa is a role model for teamwork and excellence. She consistently provides high quality care, easily creates rapport with her patients, and sees the best in others. She has won recognition from her patients, their families, and colleagues for going above and beyond with every interaction with them. She provides consistent feedback and is also part of Shared Governance being the unit's representative in the Infection Control hospital committee. There came a point in my life that I lost my drive to work here in US but they made it possible."What do you like most about working with our client?�"I am proud to be working with one of the best hospitals/health system. That's why I am thankful to Health Carousel for this. It is a blessing to start your career with the best team that pushes you to grow professionally."What do you like to do outside of work? "I am a first time mommy to a 13 month old baby. As much as possible, I try to balance work and leisure. Shoutout to my co Health Carousel friends who became our family since we moved here in the US. We usually have gatherings to celebrate each others achievements, birthdays, holidays etc."What do you love most about being a RN? "Being a nurse is an opportunity for us to make a bigger impact in other people's lives. I've learned that being passionate and kind is one of the qualities a nurse should have. It gives me a sense of fulfillment when you helped them recuperate from their illness and seeing them happy when they are finally discharge. I am always grateful that I chose this profession."What is your favorite quote?
