Healthcare Professionals Exempt From Trump's Immigration Ban

During this unprecedented time, there has been some uncertainty around immigration to the United States. On April 22, President Donald Trump signed an executive order barring some immigration to the United States for 60 days.

Who's exempt from this immigration ban?

The order doesn't apply to spouses and minor children of US citizens; healthcare professionals; any member of the US Armed Forces and their spouses and children; and anyone entering for law enforcement or national security reasons.

What does this mean for international registered nurses who are waiting to come to the U.S.?

In other words, healthcare professionals who are coming to the U.S. to work the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis can continue with their visa process and their journey to America. The order also allows any spouse or unmarried children under 21 years old of healthcare professionals to accompany or follow in joining them to the U.S.

As always, PassportUSA is here to help international nurses come to the U.S. with full support and we will continue to do everything in our power to help fulfill the American Dream.

We are currently hiring registered nurses! If you're a registered nurse who is not being guided to your American dream by PassportUSA, simply apply with us today and we'll help get your journey underway.
