Meet Guada: A PassportUSA Global Ambassador

Our Global Ambassador program is comprised of PassportUSA healthcare professionals who are passionate about helping other international nurses in their journey to the USA and ensuring others have a great experience with our program. Each Global Ambassador is currently living and working as a healthcare professional in the USA and contributes ideas and feedback about the PassportUSA program on a monthly basis.

What made you want to become an Ambassador for PassportUSA?

I wanted to help improve programs of PassportUSA so that the nurses fulfil and finish their contracts and at the same time getting what they need/want from the job.

Advice to future and/or current PassportUSA candidates?

Do not compare your experience with others because everyone is different. you have to grow and bloom where you are.

What motivates you?

I am motivated by my dreams in life - I have to do something to make those happen.

‍What's your greatest accomplishment since coming to the U.S.?

Being honored and recognized by my peers/colleagues, management as a Daisy Honoree

Fun fact about yourself?

Not sure if it’s fun at all but I love to cook and host small gatherings for friends and families. I find great joy in that.

Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I love teaching/mentoring. I am member of the Preceptor Development Council of our unit and I am also an Adjunct Faculty at the University of South Dakota.
