Alexis Paolo is one of our wonderful RNs currently assigned in Texas. He is from the Philippines and has been in the healthcare field for 8 years and with PassportUSA for 1 year! Alexis Paolo was nominated for RN of the Month by Susan and Lori:"Paolo is an awesome nurse. He gives great care to his patients. Is always helping his coworkers. Never misses work. A true professional. When we recently rolled out the hospital initiative of teaching AIDET, Paolo was the only one who performed the skill completely. He could have been the one teaching the other staff.Learn a little more about PassportUSA's award-winning RN, Alexis by reading his responses below! What drew you to Health Carousel?"I was referred by a friend in my previous job."What do you like most about working with our client? "Like any other work environment, it's the people that makes work worthwhile. I am just lucky to be working with a great team, especially in the acute rehab unit."What do you love most about being a RN? "Being a RN might be one of the toughest jobs in the world. There are both good and bad shifts. The stress level is pretty high and most often than not, work is draining. However, amidst all the tough situations I am in, what I appreciate the most out of this is being able to go home, go to bed, knowing that I saved a life or two on a daily basis."What is your favorite quote? "Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you." -George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)Tell us something unique about you! "What others don't know about me is that I am a nut for vintage toys and other collectibles. This probably rooted from my interest in history and from my childhood. Aside from being a collector, I am a fan of culture and experiences. That is why I love to travel to other places. Although my wife and I have never been to another state yet, except Kansas, where my sister lives, our travel bucket list just got full and we are hoping to start checking items off in the coming years. I was born with asthma, however I still love running. In fact, I have joined both half and full marathons when I was still in the Philippines. Though I am not an elite runner, finishing each race is a huge accomplishment for me. Every finish line I cross is a victory against asthma. Moreover, I hope to join one of the races here in the US soon."If you are not a current PassportUSA employee, simply register with us today and we'll get your journey to the USA underway!
