PassportUSA Celebrates Labor Day!

The offices of Health Carousel are closed today on account of Labor Day. For those unfamiliar with this American holiday, Labor Day is a celebration of the American labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers.Fun fact - it was actually Grover Cleveland, 22nd and 24th President of the United States, who established Labor Day after a botched attempt to disassemble a railroad strike back in 1894. The holiday is now observed on the first Monday in September.Labor Day is also considered by many to be the "unofficial" end of summer. In Cincinnati, Ohio, where Health Carousel is located, the entire city celebrates Labor Day with an enormous fireworks display on the Ohio River. It's called Riverfest.

Of course, Labor Day doesn't mean people stop getting injured or sick, so American hospitals will still be open and operational. To all of our international nurses still helping patients and saving lives, we couldn't be more grateful for your hard work, and we hope you'll get an opportunity to celebrate the holiday as well. And if you want to spend next Labor Day in the United States, simply fill out an application and begin your journey today!Happy Labor Day!
