Our mission at PassportUSA is to improve lives and make healthcare work better. We believe in growing the careers of our healthcare professionals and helping them achieve their American Dream. Achieving the American Dream can look differently to everyone and for Diana, the American Dream meant becoming a U.S. citizen.
With the help of PassportUSA, Diana came to the U.S. in 2016 with her husband and three kids. She worked with PassportUSA from 2016-2019 as an RN in Arkansas. Within the last year of her assignment, she became a team lead on the stroke unit and was then offered a charge nurse position from her facility after completing her PassportUSA Program Agreement.
“Earlier this year, I decided I wanted a little change…so I moved to a different department in the same hospital. I am now working as an Operating Room nurse specializing in brain and spine surgeries.”
2021 has brought several major changes to Diana and her family. She not only decided to transition into a new nursing role, but she also decided it was time to become a U.S. citizen.
“It feels surreal! I feel favored and it only took us 3 months for the whole process!”
Diana and her husband officially became U.S. citizens earlier this year. Her three children are currently in the process.
“I know it may sound cliché, but really do not ever give up on your dream, although it seems impossible. Certain situations, even some people may discourage you. But if you hold on to your dream, and your faith, and you find the right people to help you, there is no doubt, you will accomplish great things!”
Congratulations, Diana and family! We are extremely proud of you and your accomplishments.
