Christie S., RN and Lovely Jane B., RN Named as September 2025 Employees of the Month

At Health Carousel International (HCI), we are honored to recognize nurses who embody the values of compassion, resilience, and growth. This month, we celebrate two extraordinary professionals—Lovely and Cristie—whose journeys reflect the courage to dream, the strength to adapt, and the heart to care.

Lovely B., RN – Indiana

Originally from the Philippines, Lovely has built her nursing career with dedication and purpose. With more than three years of Operating Room experience, she has served as a scrub, circulating, and charge nurse and holds a Texas RN license, along with ACLS and BLS certifications. Her work in OR, PACU, and Medical-Surgical settings reflects her versatility, precision, and teamwork.

Lovely’s journey to HCI began after she witnessed her friends succeed through the program. At a time when she was uncertain about her career direction, their stories inspired her to take a leap of faith. What followed was a transformation—not only in her professional life but in her confidence and self-belief.

“Going from feeling like a nobody to actually being seen and appreciated gives me the strength I need to keep growing.”

For Lovely, teamwork has been one of the greatest lessons of her career. She believes that consistency in helping others builds trust and creates an environment of support, even when the favor isn’t always returned. Above all, she reminds fellow nurses that humility and openness to learning are lifelong strengths. Winning this award, she says, is both humbling and motivating—a sign that her efforts are seen and valued by those around her.

Cristie S., RN – Illinois

Cristie’s story is one of perseverance, growth, and passion for patient care. With more than 35 years of experience, she has served across multiple specialties including ICU, Medical-Surgical, NICU, and Postpartum nursing. Her expertise and leadership as a Nurse Preceptor have made her an invaluable mentor to others entering the profession.

Cristie’s journey with PassportUSA, HCI’s international program, began when she sought an agency that truly understood her experience and goals. While others encouraged her to switch specialties, PPUSA recognized her strengths in postpartum and women’s health, aligning her career path with her passion.

“With hard work and persistence, we can definitely achieve our goals.”

Since arriving in the US, Cristie has continued to grow—completing her Bachelor’s in Nursing and now pursuing a Master’s in Nursing Education. She credits her success to supportive colleagues and leaders who helped her navigate new systems and technologies. For Cristie, winning Employee of the Month is more than an accolade—it’s a symbol of purpose, perseverance, and legacy.

Her story serves as an inspiration not only to her peers but also to her children and future generations of nurses—to keep striving, learning, and serving with compassion.
