Rose W. and Eloisa Mae R. Named as July 2025 Employees of the Month

At Health Carousel International (HCI), we are honored to celebrate healthcare professionals who embody resilience, adaptability, and compassion in their practice. This month’s winners, Rose and Eloisa, show us how international nurses transform challenges into growth and how their care reaches far beyond the bedside.

Rose W., RN – Iowa

Rose has spent more than five years working in Emergency Departments, most recently serving as a Nursing Officer in Nairobi before fulfilling her dream of practicing in the US. Today in Iowa, she brings calm, focus, and empathy to patients in some of the most stressful and uncertain moments of their lives.

She was drawn to HCI for its transparency and strong support system, which gave her confidence as she transitioned to nursing in the US. The move required adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment, but Rose embraced the challenge. Along the way, she discovered the power of advocacy and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for her patients.

“Adaptability is key in a fast-paced system, but advocacy and teamwork give patients the best outcomes.”

For Rose, winning Employee of the Month is both an honor and a responsibility. It recognizes not only her hard work, but also the support of her team and the opportunities HCI provided. She sees it as a reminder to keep striving for excellence and to inspire others in their own journeys.

Eloisa Mae R., RN – New Jersey

Eloisa Mae’s career began in the Philippines, where she cared for critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU. With three years of experience in that demanding specialty, she learned the importance of precision, patience, and compassion when caring for patients who often could not speak or respond. Now practicing in New Jersey, she continues to bring that same dedication to her role in the US.

Her journey with HCI began after she passed the nursing board examinations in the Philippines. Since arriving in America, she has learned that adaptability is essential not just in the hospital but also in daily life. Adjusting to new cultures, languages, and ways of living has shaped her into a more resilient and empathetic professional.

“Flexibility is essential, not just in the hospital, but in every part of life.”

For Eloisa Mae, winning Employee of the Month is deeply meaningful. It shines a light on the unseen care provided to patients who may never be able to say “thank you.” The recognition reminds her that even in moments of silence, her work has profound value. After long and demanding shifts, she finds comfort in sharing breakfast with her husband at IHOP—a simple joy that balances the intensity of her work.

Celebrating Rose and Eloisa

Rose and Eloisa embody the heart of HCI’s mission. They remind us that international healthcare professionals bring more than technical skills; they bring courage, adaptability, and compassion that enrich patient care in every setting. We are proud to honor their journeys and to walk alongside them as they continue to make an impact in healthcare across the US.
