Chisa’s journey with Health Carousel International began through the encouragement of a friend who believed she would thrive in the opportunity. What stood out most to her during the process was the support and simplicity of the transition experience. While remaining in her province in the Philippines, she was able to complete her application with confidence and less stress, knowing she had guidance throughout every stage of the process.

Since beginning her nursing career in the United States, Chisa has embraced the challenges that come with adapting to a new healthcare environment. Although she brought extensive experience as an OR nurse from the Philippines, many of the supplies, technologies, and terminologies she encountered in the U.S. healthcare system were unfamiliar. Instead of allowing uncertainty to discourage her, she approached every experience with curiosity and determination.

“I’ve learned that don’t ever think about you can’t do it or you don’t know how to do it.”

Her willingness to remain open to learning helped her confidently adapt to new equipment, workflows, and processes. Through each challenge, Chisa strengthened both her clinical skills and her confidence as a healthcare professional. She believes that growth comes from embracing opportunities and pushing beyond self-doubt.

For Chisa, being recognized as an Employee of the Month nominee reflects the progress she has made throughout her U.S. nursing journey and serves as motivation to continue growing professionally.

Ladydi was drawn to Health Carousel International because it represented an opportunity to pursue her American dream while continuing to advance her nursing career. She sought an organization that would support international healthcare professionals not only during the transition process, but also as they adjusted to life and work in the United States.

Today, Ladydi takes pride in caring for patients while building a better future for herself and her family. Working in fast-paced healthcare settings has strengthened her ability to stay calm under pressure, think critically, and adapt quickly to changing situations.
