Health Carousel International Engagement Event – Lansing, MI - April 2026

On a memorable evening in Lansing, Michigan, PassportUSA and Health Carousel International hosted an engagement event to celebrate the dedication, compassion, and hard work of healthcare professionals serving at Sparrow Hospital and Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. The event brought together healthcare professionals, their families, and members of the PassportUSA team for a night centered on appreciation, connection, and community.

The gathering created an opportunity for healthcare professionals to step away from the demands of work and enjoy meaningful time with one another in a welcoming and supportive environment. Team members including Chloe, Layne and Maeve, from the International Employee Supervisor Team, as well as John Laird, Success Manager, and other PassportUSA representatives spent the evening connecting with attendees, listening to their stories, and celebrating the strong community that healthcare professionals in Lansing have built together.

A Night of Connection, Celebration, and Family Fun

The atmosphere throughout the evening was energetic, joyful, and highly interactive. Healthcare professionals and their families enjoyed music, dancing, delicious food, raffles, games, and activities designed to bring everyone together.

One of the most popular attractions was the photo booth, where attendees captured memories with family members, coworkers, friends, and members of the PassportUSA team. Each attendee also received a magnet featuring the message, “The difference you make matters,” reinforcing the appreciation shared throughout the evening.

Children were also included in the celebration, receiving coloring books and squishy toys that helped create a fun and welcoming experience for families.

The highlight of the night was Singo Bingo, a music-themed twist on traditional bingo that quickly became a crowd favorite.

“Seeing everyone singing, dancing, and fully engaged together created such a fun and memorable atmosphere. Watching our healthcare professionals enjoy time outside of work with their families, sharing good food and good company while feeling appreciated, is always a big cup filler for me.,” shared Maeve.

Another activity that encouraged connection was 4 Corners, where attendees moved around the room based on fun prompts and personal preferences. The game gave healthcare professionals the opportunity to interact with people outside of their usual friend groups while creating laughter and conversation throughout the room.

Meaningful Moments That Left a Lasting Impact

For Chloe, the evening became especially meaningful after meeting healthcare professionals who recognized her from the positive experiences shared by nurses she had previously supported in Nigeria.

“They informed me that many HCPs had spoken about their experience working with me and how they felt I was a safe space for them,” she shared. “Not only did I ensure things were completed in a timely manner, but they also shared that my approach was culturally sensitive and individualized, allowing them to open up at their own pace. Hearing this truly made my day.”

Why Events Like This Matter

Beyond the games, food, and activities, events like this reflect Health Carousel International’s ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare professionals both personally and professionally. These gatherings create opportunities for healthcare professionals and their families to feel seen, appreciated, and connected to the larger community supporting them throughout their journey in the United States.

Hearing attendees share stories, laughter, and appreciation throughout the evening served as a powerful reminder of the meaningful relationships built through PassportUSA and Health Carousel International.

By the end of the event, many attendees were already asking when the team would return to Michigan — a reflection of the strong sense of community and connection created throughout the evening.

The Lansing engagement event was a celebration of the people at the heart of healthcare — their dedication, resilience, and the families who support them every step of the way.
