Muncie is also home to the independently-run Burris Laboratory School, a K-12 school that’s an extension of Ball State. This school allows prospective teachers to a chance to observe and practice in a classroom. Burris is independent of the school district and students are admitted via a lottery. Ball State’s campus also has the specialty high school Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities.
