Half museum half souvenir shop, it’s a must-visit to see the Miniature Wild West Show, a stunning recreation of 20,000 animated hand-carved wooden figures.

History is also preserved and appreciated at the Lincoln County Historical Society, where visitors can see North Platte’s history includes more than Buffalo Bill. You’ll see a 1860s Pony Express cabin, World War II exhibits, antique farm machinery, and much more. The North Platte Area Children’s Museum is another great pick for children’s entertainment and through interactive hands-on exhibits, children can explore the world.
