Caregiver of the Month - Jethro

Jethro, a PassportUSA RN in South Dakota, was recognized as the Caregiver of the Month for his cheerful personality and incredible care! He provided some background as to why he chose nursing as his profession, that was featured on his unit's bulletin board. Congratulations Jethro!"Jethro was born and raised in a small city in the Philippines. When Jethro began his education to become a nurse, he really didn't know what it all entailed. He stated that he had an epiphany during his second year of nursing school when his grandmother had surgery and he was able to witness the art of nursing firsthand. In the short time his grandmother was being cared for, Jethro noticed how much the staff became a part of his grandmother's life. From that moment on, Jethro became more determined than ever to give the same kind of great care that his grandmother received.If you ask any of our caregivers about Jethro, the first thing they mention is his amazing attitude and constant smile. Jethro gets asked a lot why he's always so happy at work. Jethro is happy because he truly loves making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Jethro is such a great member of the ONS team and brightens the department whenever he comes to work!
