I became interested in applying and I immediately started researching what the company is all about. I got so inspired by the PassportUSA website and because I knew some nurse friends who deployed to the US by PassportUSA, I wanted to be part of the Health Carousel family too. I'm so glad I did because here I am now, thankful and grateful for the wonderful opportunities that Health Carousel has given me."What do you like most about working with our client? "It's satisfying to work here because it's innate in me to help people who need professional healthcare and nursing is one of the things that I'm passionate about. I like working in my current facility because I have the privilege of having reasonable rest days which allows me to build up my strength for the next shift. Another thing that I like about working here is the willingness of my current nurse manager to listen to me so I can express my feelings in certain situations. Mostly, I feel the love and support of my co-staff and my funny Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and with that, it makes me feel that I'm not alone."What do you like to do outside of work? "While outside of work, I like to be surrounded by greeneries while drinking my favorite coffee from Cup of Joe. I find it as one of my greatest joys aside from talking with my husband and connecting with my family over video calls since they live in the Philippines. Also, I understand the risk of this pandemic, but my love for travel will always be present. If everything is well with our new normal, I would like to travel within the United States and explore beautiful sceneries and state parks. It makes me feel at ease and relaxed. While I can't do that right now, I normally just go to my favorite coffee shop during my rest days. I enjoy its calming surroundings while doing my Nursing certifications and reading some interesting articles."What do you love most about being an RN? "One of the things that I love about being a Registered Nurse is its never-ending learning. I learn from my day-to-day working experience, from the different situations that I've been involved with and the textbooks or online learning courses that I take in retaining or increasing my knowledge about nursing and healthcare. Nursing has been embedded to the very core of my being and this profession allows me to appreciate the value of life even more, especially during these trying times. I have a huge amount of passion for this craft and I always give way beyond of what is expected of me. At the end of the day, it's always been satisfying to receive smiles from the faces of the patients under my care."What is your favorite American food? "I consider myself a food lover and being in the US for 2 years now, I have cravings for Thanksgiving Turkey, Jambalaya from Louisiana and S'mores! Also, that traveler in me makes me believe that beyond every food is a tradition of getting to know one's culture. I'm glad I get to have a bite of the sumptuous American delicacies."Have you received any awards or recognition from the client facility? "I had perfect attendance in 2018 and from January-July 2019. I have also received personal commendations from the staff and CNA."Tell us something unique about you! "I'm passionate about learning and understanding different cultures so, during my free time, I love to watch different documentaries about other countries and understand their values. Also, since I'm a self-proclaimed traveler, I would like to learn and take up Spanish language courses to increase my knowledge and communication skills in Spanish. I dream of travelling in Latin-American countries with my husband in the future. If I know the Spanish language, I believe I will be able to relate with my Spanish speaking patients and have a better understanding of what they're going through."What's your favorite quote? "I always keep in mind this quote from the American minister, Martin Luther King, Jr. It's a reminder for me not to give up on my dreams that easily and do everything that I can to achieve all the goals that I set in my life:'If you can't fly, then run.If you can't run, then walk.If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.'"

They are always ready to help you and remind you of the processes."What do you like to do outside of work? But there are days when I like to be by myself and I often catch up on my reading."What do you love most about being a PT? "What I love the most about being a physical therapist is helping our patients be able to achieve their goals, even if that goal is simple such as being able to get up to their toilet. Seeing them happy gives a certain joy to me and it makes me proud of what I do."What is your favorite American food? "A cheeseburger without pickles or onions!"Tell us something unique about you!
