"Health Carousel provided me a detailed and organized step-by-step process to follow, which made the process of becoming a licensed physical therapist in the U.S. less complicated and more achievable. They guided me through each step of obtaining my US PT license, applying for my U.S. visa and eventually bringing my family to the U.S. They also gave me the opportunity to complete the Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at a U.S. college. Health Carousel made me feel valued by investing in my career development and assigning me to a reputable facility with an excellent work environment."What do you like most about working with our client? "What I love about the client, is their great working culture, stability, strong work ethics and integrity. They understand the challenges foreign-trained physical therapists face when adapting to a new environment. The training program they provided me with was designed to give me a clear understanding of the U.S. healthcare setting. They gave me an ample amount of time to learn the ropes of my role as a home health physical therapist and gave me the tools that I needed to succeed. Most importantly, the support and encouragement I received from my team motivated me to bring my best to work every day."What do you like to do outside of work? "My family and I love to spend time outdoors. We do hiking, fishing, camping or doing almost anything outdoors. When it comes to camping, we find nothing more enjoyable than sitting around a campfire and making s'mores. On lazy days, I borrow books from my local library and then simply stay home and read. There is nothing quite like reading a good book and curling up on the couch next to the fireplace on a very cold winter weekend."What do you love most about being a PT? "I love being a physical therapist because of my patients. I find joy in knowing that I serve a purposethat I am able to help my patients restore their function and reach their maximum functional capacity. I enjoy listening to their stories, which ranges from happy to sad stories. I also enjoy collaborating with my fellow health team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. I feel blessed that I get to do what I love every day, which is to help people."What is your favorite American food? "My all-time favorite American food is apple pie. Last year, my church pastor invited my family to our first Thanksgiving dinner and that was when I tried different kinds of pies one could think of! The classic homemade apple pie won my heart. To better understand why I chose apple pie, imagine homemade apple pie and hot coffee on a rainy day. I don't mind topping my apple pie with some vanilla ice cream too!"Tell us something unique about you! "I am a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother to two amazing kids, ages 12 and 9. My family loves the small town here in New Mexico where God brought us. We love the mountains, pine trees, wildlife and cooler weather. My family doesn't mind doing long road trips. Earlier this year, we drove 17 hours straight to California, which was fun! Aside from New Mexico and California, I have been to Hawaii and Texas. I hope to go to Arizona, Alaska, and New York in the future."What's your favorite quote?
