Christine was nominated for RN Employee of the Month by the ER/MS Lead:

"John Nina is a great addition to the team. She remains flexible on her shift with her assignment and transitions without complaint. She is kind and compassionate in her interactions not only with patients but with coworkers. John Nina arrives to work on time and is ready to hit the ground running on care of her patients at the beginning of her shift. She is self-sufficient and that is a blessing to the charge nurse so they can focus on their tasks. John Nina has a smile on her face and is genuinely happy to be a nurse."

According to her, she knew someone who worked for the agency. Health Carousel's application process was a breeze."What do you like most about working with our client? "Minnesotans are known for being "Minnesota nice". From patients to colleagues. People are just so nice. I didn't expect this kind of treatment. After working for a long time in another country, this is a complete 360-degree turn!"What do you like to do outside of work? "I've been trying to do things that can only mostly done here like fishing, ice skating, kayaking, canoeing, wandering around nearby towns, cities, parks, and lakes. And of course, shopping!"What do you love most about being an RN? "I love being able to help and meet everyone from all walks of life. I enjoy getting to know them and hearing all kinds of stories. I get to learn from their experiences and get inspired to continue helping more people."What is your favorite American food? "My favorite American meal is steak, salad and mashed potatoes!"Tell us something unique about you! "Hi! Im John Niña and that's my full first name. My name sounds funny, I know. It's supposed to be spelled as Janniña. My mom gave birth to me when everyone else was busy celebrating one of the Philippines' major festivals, the Sinulog! Which usually happens every 3rd week of January. That's where they got my name. January + Sto Niño. It was registered wrongly but my parents just let it slide, for practical reasons. I gained friends by wandering through parks and towns. And these friends introduced me to things that I can only see on TV before. My friends help me become a better person too. To sum it up, I am having a wonderful experience here. Explore. I have a balanced work-life. Don't let stress overwhelm you. Work hard, de-stress later. And remember, tomorrow is another day! What's your favorite quote? "Tomorrow is another day."

She personally read the research on COVID and the application of therapeutic techniques, abstracted it, wrote it up in an easy format and presented it to our team of therapists via Zoom. She was knowledgeable on Zoom and taught us how to share documents in the chat box."

I got interested and then she referred me to them."What do you like most about working with our client? "This hospital has helped me grow in my profession. I was given the opportunity to practice physical therapy in different settings. My coworkers are all friendly and supportive, especially in this pandemic. We were well trained and prepared for this pandemic. Our patients and the whole community were also kind and friendly."What do you like to do outside of work?
