Another site to visit for local history is Hanna's Town, a rebuilt version of a former 1773 town. The site includes log houses to tour, a reconstructed Revolutionary War-era fort, and a wagon shed with an authentic 18th century Conestoga wagon.

Greensburg offers plenty to do for outdoor lovers thanks to its great parks and amenities. Lynch Field Park contains sports fields, playgrounds, and a lot of green space, plus is home to an activity complex with a swimming pool, ice rink, and fitness center. Hempfield Park features a playground, walking trails, and green areas. Greensburg also has its own municipal golf course, Mt. Odin Golf Course, which offers 18 challenging holes. Venture less than a half an hour away to Ligonier, Pennsylvania, and you can visit one of the oldest amusement parks in the United States. Idlewild is a children's park with kiddie rides, family coasters, and live shows. There's also an on-site water park called Soakzone.

Also not far from Greensburg is the Lauren Highlands area. Located about 25 minutes outside Greensburg, the Laurel Highlands is a mountainous region spanning 3,000 miles through several counties in Western Pennsylvania. Greensburg is an excellent gateway to this exciting four-season spot for outdoor adventure. You can go whitewater rafting, take a hike, ski, snowmobile, fish, zipline, and do just about anything else in this region.
