Health Carousel Chief Nursing Officer to Present as Panelist for Upcoming ASHHRA Education Webinar

Health Carousel Chief Nursing Officer, Earl Dalton, will be featured as a speaker panelist for an upcoming education seminar held by ASHHRA: The American Society for Health Care Human Resources Administration.

The virtual seminar -- A Predictive Model for Staffing during COVID-19 -- will take place Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Attendees of this education session will receive 1 CEU (CHHR, HRCI, SHRM) credit.

In this presentation, Dalton will discuss the impact of inadequate nurse staffing in hospital units and offer insights into how flexible staffing can help hospitals maintain optimal patient-nurse ratios.

Attendees will learn about:
  • Understanding true vacancy and operational vacancy
  • The negative impact of inadequate staffing
  • Benefits of flexible staffing
  • Innovative staffing models for short and long-term benefits.
  • Contract and international nursing
  • Managed Services Programs (MSPs)
  • Implementation of predictive analytics and forecasting to overcome staffing needs.

By 2028, the United States Nursing Workforce will have reached a projected growth of 3.4 MILLION -- in addition to the current shortage we face today. Factors such as increased complexity in care and U.S. healthcare spending, the incoming wave of Baby Boomer retirement, and a shortage of experienced talent, our nation's workforce is facing the massive impact of the experience-complexity gap.
