PassportUSA RN, Tarek, recently had the honor of accepting a DAISY Award at his assigned facility in South Carolina!

The DAISY Award is a recognition program for extraordinary nurses and is a way to honor the incredible work nurses do for their patients and their families each and every day.

Tarek was nominated by one of his patient's children who described Tarek as "compassionate, patient, kind, dedicated, reliable, hard-working and honest."

Below is an excerpt from his nomination:

During the time Tarek took care of my mom, the compassion and patience he showed to not only her but the rest of the family was extraordinary. Our family is strong-willed and very inquisitive. Tarek answered whatever questions he could and had a way of making us feel better. He made my mom feel like he was taking care of just her--just as if he was taking care of his own mother. He is truly a treasure.
