Camden Rockport Schools is the public school district and operates K-8 schools for the area. The district has 1 K-4 school and 1 grade 5-8 school. Students in grades 9-12 can attend Camden Hills Regional High School, a high school separately run by Five Town Schools. Both school districts are highly-rated and offer a world of academic opportunities for students, plus offer a low student-teacher ratio. The high school is one of the highest-rated in the state and scores among the top 10% of schools in Maine on standardized tests. A graduation rate of over 90% sees nearly 70% of high school graduates going on to college. Camden Hills has been recognized for its excellence in athletics and extracurriculars with exceptional facilities for each. U.S. News and World Report’s Best U.S. High Schools named the high school the 7th best in the state and among the top 1,500 schools in the country. A premier shopping experience awaits you in Rockport. The town is full of locally-owned stores for specialty food, gifts, candy, sporting equipment, clothing, shoes, and other merchandise. Shopping in the area will let you access one-of-a-kind items and a variety of treasures, but there are also general merchandise stores as well. T.J. Maxx and Walmart offer everything from groceries to children’s items.

Rockport is known for its wonderful arts and is a bustling creative community. Rockport Opera House is one of the best parts of the community.
