Overcoming Challenges: My 7-Year Journey

Congratulations to Imelda, who recently completed the first step in the American Dream with PassportUSA.

I joined Health Carousel in year 2017 with the supervision of my first advisor Miss Glenda. I found the Health Carousel through nurses on the website and after signing, I knew this was the beginning of fulfilling my dreams of going to the USA.

During the process of my application, I experienced some challenges like how to pass my English test to move my application. I enrolled a couple of times in the English review center and quit my job to focus on my review. It took 7 years before I finished and passed all the requirements.

Even though I’ve waited for so long to achieve this goal, all of my efforts have paid off. Regarding my first known International advisor, Miss Glenda who supported me all the way, giving and sharing some empowering words to lift me up and not to lose hope. I am also thankful to all the wonderful persons like Miss Stephanie, Miss Marcelle, Sir Reynaldo, Sir Jean Paul and lastly to Miss Grace Marie Marquez who patiently supported me until the end to achieve my American dream to become true.

During my application, I learned how to become responsible, especially in completing all the requirements or documents on time and delight in attending webinars.

To all my fellow nurses, continue to believe in yourself, you can do it because God is good all the time. Once again, thank you very much Health Carousel!
